June 12, 2013 – Work Party

From Jason Douberly:

There will be a work party Wednesday evening at 6:30. We need all of the help we can get as the racing surface is shot after all of the rain. PLEASE do your best to make it out and lend a hand. I’m sure everyone would like a nice track for the series final this weekend.

Well folks, apparently Tropical Storm Andrea doesn’t know that we haven’t been able to purchase our carport for the track yet! She’s staying through the weekend, which means Saturday just isn’t gunna happen. So, our makeup date will be “Father’s Day Eve” Saturday June 15th @ 1pm. What a more perfect way to spend time with Dad than at the race track. Hope to see everyone then! On a side note, the Spring Series trophies have arrived and are gorgeous! I also have the next raffle prize(s) and even one more surprise for all participants of the next race. Until then, stay safe and stay dry! -Patrick

May 9, 2013 – Work Party

Now that the birds have been evicted and the water has been drained, time to do some damage control. Track work party will be tomorrow (5/9) at 6pm. You may bring your own tools if you wish: garden rakes, shovels, etc. The more help we get, the quicker we can have it ready for this very evasive points round this Saturday! -Patrick

May 1, 2013 Club Meeting

Just a reminder that we’re going to have a short club meeting at 7PM at the track this Wednesday. We’ll be going over a few things regarding plans for the 2013 Summer season. We need your input, so don’t miss it!

April 27, 2013 – Test & Tune Session

We’ve just been informed that GCS Round 2 in Dalton has been cancelled due to rain. They have been rescheduled to May 4th (next Saturday). However, we are NOT canceling our points race! Our GCS race has been rescheduled to the last weekend in July, and we are not the only GCS-related track that will be racing on top of Dalton next weekend. So, even though they cancelled this weekend, most everyone around here has their plans made at other tracks. Several are going to Spring Sting in Myrtle Beach, others are going elsewhere, so keeping the non-traveling racers / pure locals in mind and with the help of Bill Barrow, Will Alderman, Shawn and Cathy Kraus, the track has been prepped for an open Test & Tune this weekend. We will pick up with our normal scheduled racing next Saturday @ 1pm. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
