Spring Series Round 2 Update

Round 2 race is still planned for March 17 (coinciding with our St. Patrick’s Day Trophy Race) but on the off-chance that we can’t run Saturday for whatever reason, we’ll reschedule this for the 24th. If that doesn’t pan out, then we’ll throw March out. We’re going to give every chance we can to avoid a mandatory throwout.

March 11, 2012 Club Race

The track is finally dry, so due to popular demand we’re going to hold a Sunday Club Race on March 11th at 1:00PM sharp at Lake Mayer Park.

SCORE would also like to wish our club members Tim Smith, Patrick Rossiter, Jason Canas and Michael Johns the best of luck at Psycho Nitro Blast this weekend.

March 6 Track Work

After this weekend’s downpour, we’re going to need to work on getting the water off of the track and groom it. If we can get it ready in time, then we may be able to squeeze in a race on Sunday, March 11.

Spring Series Round 2

Spring Series Round 2

March 3, 2012 will be Round 2 of our Spring points series at Phil Hurd Raceway. Registration will open at 11am, and Qualifying will start promptly at Noon.

Unfortunately, this race was rained out at the last minute, so Round 2 has been rescheduled to March 17th, which will coincide with our St. Patrick’s Day Trophy Race. See you there!

February 18, 2012 Club Race Results

It looks like the decision to make it a Saturday race was a good one, as we almost wound up with a little heavy moisture towards the end. We had a great day of racing and hanging out. Thanks to Chris Yarborough for calling the race, as well as to everyone who helped prep and maintain the track.

2/19 Race Rescheduled to 2/18

The track is in good shape now, but the forecast for Sunday makes it look unlikely we’ll be able to hold the Sunday, 2/19 Race as planned. Since we want to get a race in this weekend, we’re rescheduling it for Saturday, the 18th, at 11am.

However, if the weather holds off on Sunday, we’ll race again! Anyone who races Saturday can race again for free on Sunday.

We know this is short notice, but we thought it’d be better to change the date short-notice rather than skip this weekend altogether.

Saturday Series Round 1 Results

The first race of the 2012 Saturday Series was a huge success, with a total of 50 entries! Thanks to everyone who came out today and stuck it out through the bitter cold and heavy winds.

Our 2012 S.C.O.R.E. Members also voted on new officers, electing the following:

Some of the jumps and turns are blown out and need to be repaired. Just a little raking and repacking should get us ready for Saturday. Please come out this Friday night and help out if you can. Pizza and soda will be provided for all who help.
